Thread regarding Conduent layoffs

Too Bad!

Upper Management recently ordered all remote workers to report

to the nearest home office. Some remote workers were hired with

the express understanding that the job was a remote job, while

many others have been working remote for many years and have

relocated to locations not near any so-called "Office".

All of this is a ploy to force people out as there is no consideration

for the employee. Nobody is going to travel 2 hours to the job and

another 2 hours going home daily with the low wages that are paid.

For many that 2 hours is more like 3 or 4 hours each way...

Upper Management's directive says "If they cannot (report to the office), assign

work elsewhere (hint: India) or hire replacement (hint: India)"

Remote Workers are screwed. What they should be doing is a total work stoppage.

You remote workers are totally F****D anyway, so why not give some back?

And by NO MEANS - DO NOT agree to train your "replacement". You are only

reinforcing the bad behavior (rewarding the EVIL CEO and his retarded brothers)

Departments have made the VP of HR aware of the impact to clients by either forcing employees into the office or subsequently having to force teams to fire their employees. However, there is no change to the policy at this time. Teams can get an exception for staff to work remote and those have already been provided for staff. If you have been granted an exception, you know about it. There is every expectation that you will be laid off if you do not report to the office. I recommend that staff begin looking for employment at Conduent competitors that allow work from remote locations. This forcing staff into an office appears to only be a Conduent thing.
