I was laid off last year and my manager alluded to this diversity bull. It was insulting. He said the company was transforming in a lot of ways and that we’re all part of contributing to diversity in different ways. I told him sarcastically he’ll feel good about all this diveristy when the time comes he gets ditched and they move his job to pune. What an id--t.

@S9fiq7y-3dmnd: "I guess we’ll have to add Kenya, in addition to costa rica and pune."

It's all for the sake of diversity. A director actually spun it that way at my location when layoffs happened a few months ago. Yeah, diversity at the expense of ousting US workers.

Kenya. That’s what I heard at HQ. Apparently, in a meeting with the powers-that-be, Kenya was brought up as the growing trend where other companies have started to outsource data center services. Old Giggles, as the story goes, got emotional and tears even gathered in eyes as he mentioned the country was the ancestral roots of the previous president. I guess we’ll have to add Kenya, in addition to costa rica and pune.

Oh yes sorry was interrupted, was just thinking that Operation Outsourcing is great we should double down on it, although instead of India and Costa Rica we ought to think outside the box and maybe go with a war-torn countries motif to keep things interesting
