Does anyone know what led to the CMO being let go? She had only been with the company since May and in late January rolled out this who new "Marketing 2.0" plan that was going to "save the company!" She definitely was at the helm of the Jan. 16 layoff that eliminated some hard-working Marketing associates. Any other layoffs in Marketing being discussed?
The CMO had managers that couldn't follow basic Domestic Violence and ADA state and Federal laws for employees. Her team is a liability to SP, not surprised she's gone.
I am a Seattle-ite and avid Alexa user. I order pens from Amazon's Alexa, Alexa tells me the most popular pens and price, then confirms delivery. I don't need to push a button, I just say "Hi Alexa, send me blue pens." She answers, "based on your order history, I found BIC assortment ink ball pen 1mm, 3 count. It's $2.80 total including tax after $.85 in savings and credits, would you like to buy it?" I say yes and it shows up the next day. If I need to track it, it's in my Amazon account.

This is the behavior and mind set that Staples current management has bred. Watch closely as the company implodes. They cleaned out the worker bees and the problems still reside (big surprise), time to clean out the management.
