Excellent post by S3ByjVp-2tlj, I thought it deserved to be read by more people.
ADP continues to layoff experiences Associates and hire new. The current bean-counter trend is the mega-center approach. Just a couple years ago it was "off-shore". What this means is, yes it is a business decision on how to save money by paying less wages and benefits.
ADP announced layoffs again today (March 8, 2018) and many of those being cut are over 20 year veterans. This means, NO retirement benefits to pay out, this means new lower wages for replacements hired at the mega-center, this means less PTO to pay.
When laid off, you get a couple months, you get some severance, and you get to start over. You can NOT transfer to a mega-center, you can walk in off the street if you drive to the other States that have a center, and apply for a new job like anyone else off the street.
To the Client this means, more new people who have been trained "by the book" but lack the experience to know many of the answers. This means Clients will be reaching a newbie (anyone with only a couple years experience).
Employee loyalty to the Company no longer matters to ADP...
But then, Clients do not care as long as they can complain...
...they luv talking to someone with experience, but they won't leave when we get laid off.
