Mediacom - more like Mediocrecom.
This company over paid for its purchase of Optimum. Now to invest in new boxes ( by the way needed to test longer) and FTTH. Well guess what is the largest expense ? Payroll. Unfortunately we are seeing a big hit with comp plan reduction and staffing.
Many of the employees are feeling the pain from a cash poor company riddled with massive dept. it won’t be long till this company collapses from the inside.
According to the article, Mediacom is third worst for customer satisfaction. I think with the synergies that joining these to companies together could produce would propell us to number 1 in no time flat!
Mediacom (Again) Promises to Fix Awful Customer Service
Mediacom has launched a major renovation of the company's support centers in the hopes of shoring up the company's traditionally horrible reputation for customer service (see our user reviews). Mediacom is technically ranked as the worst cable TV company in America according to the latest ratings by the American Customer Service Index. The ACSI ranks Mediacom as the third worst broadband ISP as well, only above Frontier and Windstream. Like many cable companies, Mediacom is even ranked worse that many government agencies, including the IRS.
And while Mediacom has tried to dispute the ACSI's findings, the company says it's still trying to make changes that improve the currently abysmal "customer experience."
Among those efforts is a $1 billion plan to not only expand gigabit broadband across the company's footprint, but to revamp the company's brick-and-mortar customer service centers.
"We are starting to give our customer service locations a face-lift as part of our three-year, $1 billion capex plan to fund a number of key initiatives including our 1-Gig launches," the company tells FierceCable.
Of course the lion's share of complaints about Mediacom center around high prices, broadband usage caps, or poor in-home customer service -- so how well these new efforts address any of those issues remains to be seen. Mediacom is also at the top of the list of potential acquisitions by Altice USA, who likely will have plans of their own once (and if) the ISP is acquired.

Mediacom + Altice = match made in heaven 😂😂😂
They should focus on getting the subs we already have back online. Maybe invest in bringing staffing back to reasonable levels. And give up this ftth b.s. that they’ll never make a return on. Just ask Verizon how fios worked out. We need to be bought by a media company who knows what they are doing, rather than looking to acquire another company to run into the ground, and another population of employees lives to ruin. F Drahi.
Who cares they can't even get payroll correct every pay period there's a screw up
who cares
This company is severely in debt. 50 billion. I doubt they will be doing any m&a soon.
MediaCom carries I24 I know that has been since November 2017 .. other than that ??
