I absolutely hate how DST made sure we all know layoffs are coming but gave us absolutely no details.
Now we are left to stress as we guess who, how many and when.
Frankly, I'd rather they just do it. I can deal with being laid off. It's this anticipation that's destroying my mental health.
Layoffs cost money.
Perhaps they will just keep the rumors flying about layoffs and people will get fed up and leave on their own.
It's more likely a small few will be let go here and there, than a huge number of people all at once.
If your boss hates you, you should probably keep looking for another job just to be safe.
People ARE moving to CT—with Thayer being sold (something that was in the works for months, even before the acquisition) the marketing department on the 5th floor of TH is moving to CT.
And AWD people in BW were recently moved to PD, so everyone is not moving from PD to BW.
I'm so freaking glad I left. The stress was unreal and it was wrecking my mental health with the constant worry.
What do you mean DST leaked about the layoff? Isn’t it just people who “hear” the rumor mill?
Poindexter is also moving to broadway, they have been told. Dst needs to reduce staff to get them all in.
They are moving people out and not moving people IN. Dumpsters are out front. Excess bins are on every floor. Everyone is moving to Broadway and Poindexter. The IT for this building stated they aren't aware of anyone moving IN.
Another merger? DST has been acquired....There are no more mergers. DST is over...
What indication of the building being for sale is there????
I have direct knowledge that layoffs are real and I should seek new opportunities, both within DST and extremely. Either I am being lied too so I leave on my own that or a purge is happening.
Additionaly, with the Centennial bldg up for sale, space will be needed in BW and Poindexter to accommodate those who survive.
Just saying...
Because there are no layoffs. Cheaper to scare you into leaving on your own.
Ever consider the fact another merger is down the road and they need the worker bees.
Why do you think dst leaked the info on the layoffs? It doesnt seem any more substantial than other layoff repprts that did not happen.
