Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Worst management ever!!!

So they spend over $30mil on Flint in Las Vegas NV which was supposed to "incubator for small business and technology to grow" according to D. Bon then they spend millions on Iron Yard and both have already been shut down no business or lead generation for us so basically they were complete failures like many ideas at UOP!! Cohen, Bonilla, Romney, Raghu and the rest give us a properly working system not Vocado or Genesys and upgrade the student portals with real teacher videos teaching real classes like many free edX (MOOCs). I havent had a lead in 3 days to get on the application since you got rid of QC. What the f$ck do you want me to enroll if I am not even getting any real leads. The students that I enrolled a year ago are not sending over family and friends because the online learning system (ols) is garbage. Seriously the school is on its last leg but the idiots in charge could do more to salvage but they dont!!!

The real loser is that person from management who posted on here and cannot spell. These morons are the people running this company. S.O.S.

Well you are right employees can leave. But the fact that the environment is bad does not give leaders the right to treat people poorly. UOP is failing and we all know that, but should current employees not speak up, should they just take it? There are some that would like to see success come back but it will take speaking out and being kind. People only get away with bad things when someone does not speak out.

All you people complaining on here are losers, I mean seriously what the hell is wrong with you. If your not happy with your situation, feel like your being treated badly, and not going anywhere in your career then move on. Why do you continue to work here if your so miserable? Why do you feel like UOP owes you anything? They don't owe you anything, if you think your so talented and deserve better then move on...am sure if you are as good as you think you are then someone will pay you your worth and treat you with the respect you deserve.

Now here is the reality you are not talented at all. Your a loser who is lucky to even have a job, much less one that pays you as good. Half of you wont ever have a job this good and the other half are too lazy to do anything about it. Quit blaming others for being such a loser and move on, save us the time and money of laying you off. If all of you losers on here would just leave we can finally move on and accomplish what we need to do.

It is a spiral for sure. No doubt free class online are far superior. As for systems they are really bad and Genesys and Salesforce are not the solutions. But you can lay off staff with them. Someone should look into these as their is something to learn there. The company is in trouble. Peter you better start asking questions and don’t let them hide! Talk to staff in skip levels and skip IT VPs and Dev Directors.

In addition to "admit everybody" overload faculty with doubled class sizes so they cannot really teach. A death spiral, I think.

The OLS isn't the problem. There is no real teaching. Free MOOCs offer at least videos of actual college lectures. That is far better than having to read a book on your own and posting messages back and forth interacting with your classmates. Add to that the wrong impression that you can increase class size just like a MOOC, and the result of even lower education quality. People can't learn by reading the posts of classmates who are just as lost and confused as you're.

Trouble is, you can't fix this broken model because the root of the problem goes to admitting everybody instead of admitting students who can do real college-level work.
