Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

is it dell sinking?

as per the latest published financial data, dell has 106b$ liabilities (debt) on the book against current assets of around 38b$, it is really puzzling to see how they going to manage the growing debts with the operational losses which is mounting qoq.

jokes apart company has 40b$ goodwill and 30b$ intangible assets, it seems each and everyone in the company is writing crappy patents instead of making quality products.

Good grief, Dell did not ruin EMC. EMC ruined EMC. They would not have needed Dell to rescue them if they were in good shape... years of the continual lay offs of the actual workforce that made EMC a once great company in order to appear more profitable than they actually were can only sustain a company for so long... it was painfully obvious they were already well on their way to a crash and burn many years ago... while everyone watched and did nothing... some got rich and some even richer as they happily walked away from the tragedy they created and they have NEVER looked back... too busy spending stockholder money. Wrong on every single level and should all be in orange jumpsuits. Now, sure looks like it is going to be an epic crash and burn. Hopefully not.

Now this is funny. SourceOne was part of the $10Billion pay down. Ha ha ha ha ha. Now that's funny. That product couldn't make money because of crappy sales people giving the product away for free and died when they bailed on Lotus Notes which made it the most money and biggest customers. The Midget and J-Bendover-Court wanted it dead along with the Timidator. KSL had it rolling and then they pulled the plug in 2013. I'm still laughing that S1 was part of this 10Billion. Good engineers and a good S1 team kept it going as long as they could. "Z time for fun is ova"

They paid down $10Billion, from the sales of Quest Software, SourceOne, and other businesses. taking the number to ~$42.5Billion.

Deadfish VCE ruined VCE. When you have huge customers that refuse to open a case with VCE, and faking serial numbers to get legacy support in order to avoid VCE support like the plague, that’s kind of telling don’t you think?

Dell is good at turning once great companies to sh--. Nothing but con artists in suits and ties. Sad trend in corporations these days. Churn and burn. Stock buybacks. Creative accounting and cooking books. All this Wall Street thievery needs to be prosecuted as FRAUD by Sessions and AG. They need to break up these corps on RICO and anti-trust laws.

Were you just born yesterday ? What is Dell good at today? Dell is almost touching the seabed. So, it is not sinking, it sunk!

your numbers are off. Go and look at the financials. They paid down $10Billion, from the sales of Quest Software, SourceOne, and other businesses. taking the number to ~$42.5Billion. Unfortunately it says that DFS (Dell Financial Services) added ~$10B in liabilities taking the total up to now ~$53B. Also lost over $4Billion last year with Storage sinking 11% and Server sales cooling. VMware revenue made up 50% of FCF (Free cash Flow) meaning that they are tapping into VMware's bank account in order to pay bills. Even if VMware buys Dell in a reverse merger there is not enough free capital in order for VMware to stay cash positive. VMware would become no better than Nutanix, or Pure posting losses each year until they sell off parts of the company. This is not speculation, read the 10K, this is really bad. Looking forward to "Smartest Guys in the Room, chapter 2 : Michael Dell"
