In my division there is a thick top layer of management, they wont move out of their positions to let the bottom people move up. Adding to this they lack to the skill to be where they are, but since they have seniority they get to stay where they are........there is a lot of fat that can be trimmed
This company is not what it used to be, expect more restructuring, re shuffling of individuals, strategy changes. Ultimately once the cyclical nature of this biz starts to move down again more layoffs.
