Why would Micron have a site just for layoffs?

This is becoming a miserable place to work. People being sent to work in other areas weekly for a couple of days. I don't know when I will be working in my area or across town on a daily basis. People that I have worked with for years sneaking and backstabbing in hopes of keeping their job in this workless area. One thing for sure management still in place; no fear of loosing their jobs. collecting full salary even though their reports have been reduced by 40% The management in our small off site area keep their jobs at the expense of the hourly employees. NO class at all.
I have been here for more than fifteen years. I have worked in several different areas over my time here. We are dead slow and have been for quite a long time. I am unable to change departments that would keep me busy, so I am just waiting to be laid off. Luckily my husband does pretty well with his business so I don't have the pressure many of my dear fellow employees have. We are so angry that Micron over the last couple of years has not been able to replace our area with work that has been sent overseas. We just come in every day and sit with nothing to do. Why not just lay us off so we can be on our way. This is definitely not the "old Micron". So sad!
Been here 28 years, hate it more every year. Nothing to do, back stabbers at every corner. I use to be proud to work here. Those days are long gone. Just lay us off already !!
I have worked in several different departments over the last seventeen years. I have never seen the moral here so low. Many of us are just biding our time until we get laid off this Spring or early summer. So sad for this once great company.
If you are referring to this site, Micron doesn't have it. It's a forum for employees to chime in and share rumors about layoffs. Look at their main page, there are separate boards for almost every big company.
Worst technology company in America now. Over 20 years working for this place and all I can think of is getting out. No one is happy out here.
They have a site just for layoffs because they layoff employees consistently and people have questions, I guess. Kinda scary when you think about it.
