I'll leave this here:

“The core tenets of our focused strategy continue to generate value-adding and economic

production growth, as demonstrated by our recent enhancement to well productivity and

improving capital efficiency, while we invest within our capital plan,” said Bill Way,

President and Chief Executive Officer of Southwestern Energy. “The application of our

operational learnings are driving dramatically improving well results and continue to

produce material increases in value and diversification of the portfolio. Our innovative

culture and operational excellence, coupled with our commitment to financial discipline,

position us to deliver growing shareholder value moving forward."

We can live within cashflow, that’s fine but it still does nothing to pay down debt. Fayetsville is a production field, NE is close to drilled out and WV has 5 years. Where does the company go? No prospects and no growth. No wonder our stock is the big 3.

'SWN says a "robust hedging program" and a commitment to "rigorous financial discipline" will help it through a lower commodity price environment.'

All we need is more executives on the 5th floor! Just picked up another that should be anounced this week! That should fix things. I dont see what these guys (and gals ;) ) think they are going to get other than a short path to a semi golden parachute once someone finally finds the gall to pick us up for cheap. Just watchig it burn and hoping im still standing in the ashes when it is done.

"Why are we still hiring VP level?"

...because your company is ran by, and is full of idiots that thrive on getting dumb kids to drink the flavor-aid and kiss a$$ while they sit around in circle jerk praising how SWN is the best company one could ever hope for.

Every employee should be held accountable. No Raises, No Bonuses, No Stock Awards, no more Pension Contributions, and no more free Soda's. Fire 80% of the management team and any other Departments (IT, HR, etc) that do not directly contribute to the bottom line.

I don’t think the market and shareholders understand. I sure don’t!!!! The article you cite basically says that you think SWN stock is down because of the weather and gas demand. These two things impact all oil and gas companies, right?

So why is SWN’s share price down 31.5% over the last month when the average return for companies with capitalizations between $2 to $100B is down only 6.6%. SWN is being punished more brutally compared to its peers. Why? My guess is lost confidence in SWN’s BoD and management team. Both are weak and should be punished. No cash bonuses for management - give them all SWN stock!!!!
