I don't know what meeting the OP was attending, but he/she clearly was either drunk or high to actually believe that it was good or that SgAS is heading in the right direction. Everyone below the upper management line can see that we have hit the iceberg and we are sinking fast. The remaining employees are the band playing as the ship goes down while the captains of this boat will sneak on to a life boat with bags of cash laughing all the way.

Morale is at an all time low, employees are fed up and many of our customers are concerned about the shrinking of the company and lack of staff. If anyone recalls during the last all employee call, when Giggles Stern was asked about what is being done about the low morale, instead of answering, he passed it off to one of his puppets who said this is a great company and the employees should be glad to come to work everyday...and that many people spend more time with their colleagues than their families! Yes! This was actually said....which is a huge red flag.

So if the goal of SgAS is to keep shrinking, laying people off, screwing and over working the staff, have a sales staff that can't sell, off shore all the jobs while laying off exemplary employees, piss off the customers on a daily basis and do nothing for the morale of the employees....then maybe it was a great kick off meeting.

It’s upsetting to see all this but I’m like you not sure what to think or do so I just chalk it up to another layoff I have gone through these before so not worth making rude comments just moving on and this time taking the road less traveled

The online support model is already a failure. Customers are shocked when we tell them they need to open tickets by themselves. Oh, you want to talk to a live person (albeit with an unintelligible iIndian accent) ? Well, OK, but your environment or business needs to be fully unusable or under 20ft of water first. Then, OK, we'll try to get someone to call you in 30 min. What's that, you say? You're just trying to open a ticket to prevent an outage?? Oh, sorry we can't help you unless your totally down. We'll I'll just call my SME then. Well, good luck with that, they'll have to open a ticket and get in line, it's not like they're actually going to be able to call someone and get you service any faster. Just open a ticket yourself on our portal. We'll get back to you, or will we??

Guys - obviously the OP is trolling .... 4 rounds of layoffs in 6 weeks .., moving to more and more offshore support at the expense of long term knowledgeable employees ..... the upcoming ticketed support model will be a real winner in the

Eyes of the customer ... instead of calling the support person directly they’ll have to open up a ticket .., many manager / directors know it’ll be a failure but if you’re not a yes man you get canned

This is fact, they will tell you what you want to hear, ask them to explain why were paying such a high interest rate on millions and millions and millions of dollars and why they had to give up 20% of the company and a seat on the board to the company that lent the money.

Phew.. Nice to hear positive news. I can relax now that the kickoff went great. Hail sales !!! Save us obe one. Offshoring sales. Yea that's a great Idea.

Remember kids step up into the life raft from a sinking ship.

I didn't think we were off shoring Sales as well, but wouldn't put it past Stern and Binford to do so. This is either Binford posting or one of our "talented" off shore teams.

What an egotistical, self-righteous comment to make when literally hundreds of tenured, dedicated, and loyal employees have been let go (aka: their job offshored) over the past year. The likes of whom will NEVER EVER be replaced by Sungard AS.

If you’re representing the type of employee who is left at Sungard AS, then the “good times” are most definitely over.

May karma bite you in the a*s in 2018.

Veni. Vidi. Amavi.

What kind of crack did you smoke at the kickoff? You deserve to go down with the ship.
