This seems to be the new trend now. Can anyone still employed with Enbridge say with certainty that they will not be next??? I can not!!!!
People who have been here for 5+years at least have a bit of cushion that at the least they will get a severance package and honestly that is what is still keeping people from making a move in this market. I totally understand that the market is a lot to blame for what is going on but at some point this has to stop because clearly this is not helping employee morale and upper management better understand that this will definitely become a safety concern for the company as a whole. At the end of the day we are all professionals and will do our job but we are still Human and seeing co-workers get laid off constantly in front of your eyes will take a toll on anybody. So at some point they gotta stop and think about the employees as well cause the current trend is not making this a good work environment at all.
Enbridge has done a very good job of not being transparent at all and I dont see them being transparent going forward. Just like Enbridge has to look out what is best for them we have to look out what is best for us. At the end of the day no one will look out for you but yourself.
Hopefully people that got laid off find something quick as most people have themselves or families to support and this is a difficult time for them. Hopefully when they do come across new opportunities they are in a happy work environment cause we spend more time at work then at home so its important that you are in a positive work environment and not a toxic one.
