I believe will happen. I think vast majority of institutions want it . Also not considering an offer of such magnitude is breach of fiduciary duty to QCOM shareholders. Heartened to see how many people in financial industry realize their present day management is inept. Orders of magnitude below Irwin Jacobs and original founders.

Based on QCOM's stock price right now I'd say it's about 50/50 chance. If it was a done deal QCOM would be trading close to 82 - but QCOM is trading in the 60's as of 2/6. So the market thinks there's a pretty good chance the deal will fall through - either Hock's board doesn't win the election or regulatory agencies kill it.

Now that bid has been raised to $82 per share, I expect negotiations to start. QCOM BoD will wring a few more dollars out of the deal. Too many people out of the money at $70 per share that it was a non-starter.
