Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

A Town Hall meeting is in the near future for all CHK employees. Why would such a meeting occur if there is not good news to share? This is all adding up to a bright future for CHK.

Shame on those who continue to spread fear and lies regarding BK for CHK, despite the sad news just received by those unfortunate 400, the company remains positioned to flourish with oil @ $60 and NG $3.

Also at this SP, insiders would buy if they could; however, they legally cannot pending the merger. Better days lie ahead for all of us...

I remember the day we all attended a Town Hall meeting by several high level land managers. They spent an hour telling everyone that everything at CHK was great. No layoffs were anticipated, raises and bonuses were remaining the same, etc. however, our workload continued to fall, rumors continued, morale still fell, people began stabbing each other in the back. And within only weeks that first big layoff happened. I was part of the first 293 that received a very handsome severance package. Anyway, don’t be fooled by what they tell you at The Town Hall meeting.
