Thread regarding Publix Super Markets layoffs

Think about it

Maybe true no layoffs in 86 years, however, Publix is engaging in many of the same corporate tactics as every other (corporation) in America now a days. It's hiring and scheduling processes are VERY discriminating (i.e. allotting hours to younger, newer employees over long-time associates).

Whoever is in the upper echelons of this company is tearing it apart and it is sad to see that the employees do not see it. This is a privately owned company and therefore, defacto UNION, but it is very discouraged for ANY associate to give his or her opinion to any Corporate person. Also, you say it is financially strong, however, I would like to see the actual sheets of assets and expenses to which Publix will not provide.
