Morale at Enbridge was bad prior to the "merger" (acquisition) due to layoffs and tone-deaf OEF
-
AM and Vern Yu were patting themselves on their back about this being the biggest M/A in North American Energy history
-
Ebel sold out everybody at Spectra Energy for his place at the board room table
-
Since the merger the stock prices have tanked due to Enbridge overextending themselves
-
Morale has sunk even lower than before due to the obvious mismanagement
They have carelessly/callously dismantled a well running Spectra Energy to satisfy their egos and wallets. Destroyed two companies for the price of one.
I suspect that they will do this next round of layoffs tomorrow, morale will sink even lower, and stock prices won't recover fast enough - and AM will eventually have to fall on his sword for his serious blunder, and retire with his golden parachute.
Enbridge is not (and never was) the smooth running operation that the outside world thinks it is - not by a long shot, and the veil is now being lifted.
Good luck to everybody tomorrow. Those who want out of this mess despite uncertainty, and those that HAVE to stay for family and financial obligations. I sympathize with both groups, and hope you get what you want.
