THreshold is not 500 but 50. Each time a company does a "Wrokforce Reduction" that impacts 50 or more workers form a site, it is required to file a notice with EDD. Or so is my learning.
April lists for next round being prepared now.
Threshold is not 500 person but 50 person. This was the update for the prev round.
Typically, companies file this with EDD the day before or the day of the layoffs. Sort of, EDD is notified right about the same time as employees are notified. And the 60 days from the day of notification is the date when they are removed from payroll.
dunno, read about warn online, I believe this filing is satisfying the 60 days notice criteria to employees required by WARN for the last round. Pretty sure the comp package kept employees on payroll for 60 days starting 1/12, with official employee notice recorded as 1/10. Effective date of 3/12 is 60 days after, so I think this filing is for the January layoffs. The mystery is why there was a filing at all, as it falls way below the 500 person threshold required by warn. anyone have a more informed opinion?
So, one more round in March?
