agree with that last guy.....its a changing medium .linear medium is DEAD .

it makes money now...but its future is BLEAK...its for OLD people and countries with crap infrastructure .
i have said this to these people ,managers, little guys ,influencers and guys stuck in that world ..again and again ..linear is dying ..they follow the herd..cant say any more
but in 3rd work countries and developing countries linear is still alive .
Media isn't dying, Viacom just chooses to be the dinosaurs for this mass extinction of fossilized companies not ready or willing to play the game that is the media landscape today. Yes, some companies are hiring, but the economy is bleeding jobs, esp those that Drumpf "saved", those are now going away as well.
"Every major corporation" is not laying people off. There are plenty of companies and industries that are hiring like crazy. If you work in traditional media "layoffs" and "restructure" are going to be the name of the game. Too many people making too much money for a medium that is quickly being replaced.
