Not sure if layoffs will or will not take place tomorrow, but I can tell you that everybody at the office today was stressed out and on edge because everybody is expecting them to happen sometimes this week.
That is far from proof of them happening, but I've learned so far that if something has managed to affect even the people who usually shrug off any rumor, than there is something behind it.
In legacy spectra layoffs rarely happened until its was acquired by Enbridge.

Meeting rooms are booked on the 2nd floor of Enbridge Centre. Wish they would let me know before I come in tomorrow. I would be able to sleep in at least.
Why just spectra folks? Enbridge was a way better company until spectra was "acquired". Should feel sad for the legacy Enbridge folks.

I usually take the bus home with 2 ladies from HR. Both of them were working late and not on the bus. They are always on the bus at 5. Not good.
I'm in Houston, legacy Spectra. My boss told me to work from home tomorrow. He looked like he was going to puke. I'm going to take his advise, I won't sleep at all tonight.

As a long time employee who left on their own accord last year, I am watching this site and feel for you all. I don't even work there anymore and I'm feeling stressed... There is life beyond Enbridge. It's not all better or all worse. I now deal with a lot less incompetent middle-management and less of the out-of-touch executive. Enbridge does have a special culture within the 'individual contributors' / rank-n-file that I do miss dearly. Good luck and keep your heads held high.
