Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Rumor of Layoffs March 13'th

There has been deep discussions at the ELT level of a global company wide layoff planned for March 13'th 2018.

All of the internal reorganizations that are occurring currently will be completed by end of January. This will allow the ELT several weeks to plan the trimming across the company and start to finalize the layoff plan by February end.

The RIF actions to employees will begin on March 13'th. There is a planned 8% reduction across the company.

Raleigh, Santa Clara and Fort Lauderdale will be hit the hardest in that order.

The whole purpose of this layoff is to open additional requisitions to continue to transform Citrix to a cloud company. The October 2017 layoff did not provide sufficient open requisitions to enable the digital transformation of the company to a cloud SaaS company.

My information is solid and well placed but please post if you have additional information on the March 13'th layoffs.

ShareFile will still be sold as an Enterprise offering. The idea is to roll everything into one large package and eliminate the SMB side of the business.

Wait, what? Shutting down all of Sharefile?

I have executive confirmation that they are closing the Raleigh office. They will be offering relocation to the Ft. Lauderdale office for some teams. What's left of the SMB sales team will be eliminated and support is being outsourced. Confirmation that March 13th is the date.

I’m a 9 year veteran and would welcome this. I will wait and take the package from this circus before having to search for a job again.

With the Trump tax reform and job incentives plan there are plenty on new requisitions that have opened around here lately.

This isn’t to open requisitions for the cloud transformation. That’s complete crap. They laid off a bunch of people already in the cloud space last round. But notice the stock suddenly took off last time they did this. Slim the company down, sell off the pieces.

If they leave it much later than that then they would be in danger of having to pay out bonus’ to staff. And we all know they only people who get a bonus in Citrix are big D and his mates.

Take the money and run! It is time to leave the sinking "cloud" ship.

Kirill Tatarinov cleared more than LeBron James in 2017. No wonder they're looking to clear cap space. Na Zdorovie, Kirill!

I read this last night before I went to bed, and honest, I didn’t lose an iota of sleep. Because I just don’t care. In 4 years this will be my 4th layoff event. I can’t care any less about this company than I already do. I have no trust in management nor am I confident in its vision and future. I’d just like my package and in return, I offer Citrix my middle finger.

its not surprising that more layoffs are coming. Ihis was predicted and DH was very careful not to say anything about the subject at the last all hands meeting.

here we go again...

oh no, not again. we just went through a trauma layoff in October. I don't think i can handle another one so soon. What the hell is EM and DH doing to the company except grinding all our faces in the sand

Layoffs will occur across the board for any position that does not drive the Citrix transformation to cloud. Funny thing is the sales team only have a 10% quota on cloud products so don't know how this is all supposed to rationalize out.
