Thread regarding GE Digital layoffs

Just ignore promises

About a year ago GE Digital said it would give awards at the end of 2017 to the best ideas/suggestions for cost out. Even though i have heard several people ask when that would happen no answers. Just another way GE does business. Ignore something long enough and it will just go away.

Classic, @RtW4Elt-1cfi ... literal LOL on this side. Maybe the idea of Impact Awards themselves was one of the suggestions, and the reward will be a "personally meaningful and memorable experiential offering" (maybe lunch with Bill?).

Has anyone calculated the conversion rate from Impact Points to Stanley Nickels yet?

Oh they took the ideas. Just wait a long while and then some exec will suddenly have the same idea--they'll get the credit for it and everyone will be on stage laughing it up.

LOL! I was laid off as of January 8th, and I haven't even got my severance pay yet. If I didn't have direct deposit, I'd be worried the check would bounce. Awards are the last thing GE is worried about these days.

That's just silly - of COURSE they will honor their promise and give out awards.

Be on the lookout for 500 Impact Points. Collect 1,000 for a plastic necklace. Collect 5,000 for a stuffed bear. Collect 1,000,0000 and get a water bottle!
