I will wager the 69 gold bricks in my office that it skyrockets to $6.90.

I did get help via networking from other laid off ex Southwestern employees. I found most everyone helpful and straight forward.. they had moved on.

Got a job and doing well.. I help where I can

After SWn..top guys RICH and retired, many got jobs with buddies in this incestuous industry...many without lots of contacts STILL HURTING. If people that DID GET A JOB..then HELP THOSE LEFT at this crumbling heap.

Right. Well many ppl didn’t land better paying jobs so why don’t you count your blessings instead of telling someone to “get over it”?

The experience isn't useful? What a load of crap. I moved on from SWN and was able to get a much better paying position due to my experience at SWN. You have the same person posting about SWN being a tier 3 company throughout these posts. We get it, you got laid off, get over it.

by

Post ID: @7yup+RqnaiWu

No uniformly of course .. but many people who were laid off 2 years ago , are pretty happy.

The negative in Houston anyway is that swn is certianly viewed as a tier 3 sort of company; so the experience isn’t that useful .

Bet anyone who left SWN in the last 12 months doesn’t regret it.

Dewbre is fine. He would still be here if he had been valued on the 5th floor

Chk market cap > SWN market cap.

“When you’re not the lead dog, you’re just staring at [backsides].”

Pretty much sums us up!! But, still have a very highly compensated Board and management group.

Good one! A merger with declining and feeble Gulfport would be a classic SWN move. It’s like two crack addicts teaming up to start a pharmacy.

Peers have come out with guidance - AR, RRC and GPOR are a few. Investing within CF with growth and distributions to stockholders (like dividends or stock buybacks). We can’t do that - stock will continue to be in trouble and a laggard.

Hey, everything will be fine as long as we hold on to the handrails, and maintain a cell phone free and < 10mph parking garage! More low quality STOP observations is the key!

Stock at 52 week low. Wonder what SWN’s Board of Directors are thinking. Are they thinking?

Question to BOD: Don’t you have a fiduciary responsibility to the shareholders.

Answer: “What ever”

Stock 1% insiders, 90-91% institutional investors..they make money when up or down thru options.

Layoff's, no more pension contributions, no more stock awards, no bonuses, and no raises this year. Sorry, but SWN's #1 goal is Shareholder value and they are failing badly at that. Way isn't the only problem. Way too many over-compensated managers and bottom of the barrel employees. There are three types of people left at SWN. Those that too stupid to see what a piss poor company they are working for and they deserve to choke on the company Kool-Aid as it crashes and burns. Those that aren't capable or skilled enough to find another job and are likely contributing the problems at the company. Finally, the old grumps that are just crossing their fingers, hoping they can last till retirement. There is very, very little talent (right people) left within the company.

It’s a realistic outcome for sure. I like the post from another thread and copied it below because it supports your case for a SWN death spiral. As a cost cutting measure to slow the spiral, I think layoffs are very possible. Way might also do layoffs to demonstrate to the Board & Wall Street that he’s a courageous, proactive CEO who’s not afraid to take bold steps to bump the stock and save his sorry butt.

“Strategy work never ends. Way keeps shaking the Magic 8-ball asking it what to do. He restarts strategy work over when he gets the "Don't count on it" and "Cannot predict now" responses. Really, how many times and how many weeks does 5 need to spend on this crap? Keep networking and looking for opportunities! I am and know we are going in a circle at best as we continue our slow death spiral.

Think about it - we can't issue debt to buy anything, we pay over $200 mil per year in interest, can't issue equity because it's already in the toilet, can't sell an asset for very much and vast majority of existing assets do not work at below $3 prices (maybe enough to keep a rig busy in NE PA and WV for a year). Two rigs worth of drilling can't produce enough cash to overcome our interest and G&A. By the way, the 1.3 PVI does NOT include any interest or G&A. Keep that in mind when you hear him babbling about all the wells we have at 1.3 PVI. Don't believe it. What solution has Way provided to us? Be energetic? Use a lot of adjectives when we talk about action? Know your passion? Magic 8-ball is his source!”

Way doesn’t know what the difference is in mmbtu and mcf from what I hear. How can he develop any kind of strategy? He’s interested in his paycheck and title. Time is up! Get him out before runs in more into the ground.

Actually, the oil and gas sector is rebounding - but SWN stock is lagging badly. Over the last six months, public O&G companies with market caps between $2B and $20B have had an average return of +18%. SWN’s return over the same period was -15%. There are 35 companies in the 2-20B mkt cap group and over 70% of these have positive returns. Shareholders expect management to adjust the portfolio mix to maximize value. SWN management has not done so and thus the stock sell off continues.

Ok so who’s responsible for not tilting SWN’s mix from gas weighted to oil weighted? ....... SWN’s leadership team is destroying shareholder value by inaction. Prolonging the stagnation should not be rewarded as a winning strategy.

Our stock price has absolutely nothing to do with cash flow. With prices above 3, we can hedge and put ourself in a better position. Our stock price being low affects our market cap, OH NO! Energy is out of favor with the market. Investors are going heavy on tech. When prices show sustainability, O&G sector will rise. This won’t happen when you can turn the tap on at any time. There’s still too much drilling across the sector. It’s also because we’re weighted on natural gas. Every gas producer is being killed, and oil stocks are killing it.

Agree!! Insiders own very little..like 1% or less. So they are not aligned with stockholders. Most owned by BIG Institutional investors who invest for large pensions. No accountability. No dividend EVER. NO UPSIDE. Sale.

I’ve got to agree . I’m fine if you want to say Way did not cause the problems .. arguable ; but not relevant.

After over two years as the one in charge not much has changed ; kudos to some financial moves that give some time ; but to what value?

As a shareholder I’d say , what are you doing to increase my value — anyone can wait on prices and external factors .

Unfortunately this thing has no momentum

And no way to get any —- sell

Dude are you nuts - the sky is falling. Stock is falling & at $5 in January after a nation - wide freeze. No amount of budget meetings can help SWN.
