ADP just informed all business consultants that they are to move to allentown Pennsylvania at their centralized location, or find a new job within 30 days. Best of luck to these people.

That's right. ADP won't survive either.
I see this pattern emerging at other companies, even where I work it seems to be the thing to do: "hire-em-cheap-no experience" trend is catching on. I get everyone deserves a shot at opportunities, but my gosh, this does not work in the end to sustain a company. Take Hewitt for instance...in the early 1990s, they did the hire young, pay cheap thing. The company has not survived. It got acquired by AON in the past 7-8 yrs and just keeps on doing layoffs.
Not given the option to move to Allentown? Not surprising, since the aim of this reorg is not only to consolidate offices but to get rid of experienced personnel who "make too much money" in ADP s view. The new employees who will be hired to replace these "money gluttons" will be earning far less money than the ones they are replacing.
Haha no. We were not given an option to apply or move. We were just laid off
