Kmart actually did have a presence in Alaska, but it's been some time. They closed all of them in 2003.

Rhode Island just lost its last Kmart. Alaska never had any.
Hell I'm pretty sure there are states with NO Kmarts in them at this point.

Hard to believe there are exactly 13 Kmarts left in Ohio, after this latest round.
When I moved to Cincinnati in May 1999 there were around 120, I believe.
