For the last few years, Avid has rolled out a round of layoffs immediately after NAMM.
Has anyone heard anything yet on this front? Clench le cheeks on Monday?

After attending NAMM I have to agree, One of the other replies in this string was right on target..... "Pro Tools is only 10 years behind other DAWs". And both the software and hardware are unreliable. Even Fisher-Price has moved ahead of Pro Tools.
Layoff was pre-NAMM this time. Atleast 4 people from my team were impacted.
NAMM was positive from what I heard. Pro Tools is only 10 years behind other DAWs now. Few more people are on their way out voluntarily or interviewing. Sad.. I am giving it some more time to see what the rock bottom is.
What was the crux of the negative feedback at NAMM?
Yes - an unimpressive NAMM show for us to say the least! Negative feedback across the board - but "the Board" continues to ignore our failures.
Louis and his team of losers spending money to try and impress people. They are so desperate to project an image of success knowing dang well the quality of the products has never been worse and quite embarrassing. Stop wasting the companies money for useless B.S. and focus on the development and quality of innovative products. Which has become impossible to do since you trashed your ENG team. Gave in and re-sell products from companies like BlackMagic because they ate Avid's lunch. Pretty pathetic ..... this our I/O box isn't it innovative?? Please ignore the BlackMagic logo on the box. What a joke. Louis got his butt kicked all over the place. He and his team have no ability regarding hardware development. They don't even know what it is.
Haven’t heard anything but everyone expects something to go down next week or certainly after NAB - or both. And not for nothing, certain people need to dial it back with posting their party pics under the guise of “work” on their social. When morale is in the toilet and budgets are being slashed, it is so ignorant to feed out selfies from Sundance, most of which include massive grins and c---tails in hand, all on the company’s dime when there is barely a dime for most to spend and everyone is completely overworked. Not making it about Avid and not at all cool.
