My estimate about the site, 200 stores x 25 people per store... plus back end corporate jobs needed to support them. Management consolidation, etc.

Newspapers all said employees affected by the store closings would either be transferred or get severance...neither is going to happen. Not worth it retention (up 5% of base pay during liquidation IF certain sales metrics are met), no severance package for employees or management and no transfers. But we can reapply at non-closing stores--Thanks but no thanks.....
Least shocking news of 2018. Yawn.
