No one knows for sure. Any numbers you see are 100% speculation.
How many from the home office were cut?
Those 500+ need to all work at the same location to trigger WARN.
Actually if a company lays offs over 500 people regardless of whether or not it is 1%, they are required to give written notice. I would look into that if that number is real.
Maitland is in a different situation from the rest of the company then. The cuts on the teams I know about essentially left those corporate operations on life support. There is someone left to keep the lights on, but there is no one left to fix anything that breaks, much less make any changes or do new work.
Oh no! A company cut 1% of it's workforce....the end just be near! Y'all are ridiculous. Most of the cuts were duplicate roles or roles that were not profitable and whose roles could be absorbed by other departments. It frees up capital to be used on more profitable sections of the business and in turn make the company more profitable. Here in Maitland most of the people let go are being interviewed to come back as account managers so not even losing that many people.
This isn't the end....
