Sycamore does not want to own these businesses long term. Linking them together via supply chain makes them hard to put a value on as standalone businesses and hard to sell off when the time comes.

No way they consolidate supply chain across companies.

consolidation is interesting. they're much more likely to keep their existing setup and people than Staples. :)

Sycamore has (or will) explored the consolidation of supply chain operations across it’s different retail business. Probably significant duplication of roles, etc.
