Fossil still outsource most of its IT Jobs to Infosys still after Ed departure.
Don't forget Ed's right hand man, Robert, who now runs E-commerce hasn't done much since he left. Good example of bad leaders and people with no vision. Selling the same old outsourcing tactics to other gullible company.
Will there be more layoffs in IT? Infosys should be be under investigation.
It started with the move. Once we were in the new building the remaining real culture of “collaboration” was strangled out. The IT outsource was just a culmination of the overall misunderstanding of what made Fossil what it was. It was just the beginning of the end. Remaining Fossil friends, get your crap packed and prepare to exit. The job market is pretty good! Get a resume together and get out. Or don’t. But don’t be shocked when they turn the lights out. Best wishes to everyone, maybe Fossil will turn it around but the signs are there.
With all of the layoffs, we are already doing 2 to 3 other peoples jobs. How much harder do you want us to work? Probably another layoff in the near future with the quarterly conference call in Feb. I fear it will be the most heinous yet!
Mmhmmm. The downward slide of department store business and retail and general has nothing to do with fossil’s challenges. It’s all IT.

I agree, Robert is a most feckless leader. Fossil’s downward slide started when Executives and IT Mis-Leadership betrayed their IT staff by outsourcing most of the IT jobs to Infosys. Future business case on what not to do in terms of strategy and culture. One year to go before Fossil goes into bankruptcy...
