the 2 comments below do not surprise me. I work in Healthcare, but I have been a very close observer of the GE Digital journey. problem #1 IMHO is that Digital hired almost exclusively from the outside. It takes ages to understand how the GE matrix works. Thousands of new hires who took years to understand whom to contact to in the client internal businesses. Let alone the business needs.

The mistake has been to trade-off the SW expertise of external hires with the understanding of the business needs of internal employees. Voila the results: failure!

That's pretty much how I feel every day anymore. Digital seems to be completely unaware of what the other P&L's needs actually are.

Half of the time I attend these meetings for those in power, I often wonder if we work for the same company.
