Why do you guys put up with this stuff, why don't you just leave DST?

Are you kidding? No one is safe and those that think it are either stupid or plain crazy. Everyone can be replaced. I’m not worried, it’s what I want get rid of me. And I have a specialized job. Who cares, I was looking for a job when I got this one. Those who think it won’t happen to them will be in more shock when it does happen.

My job is special too- I've made myself irreplaceable and there's no way they'll let me go. Everyone should get back to work, focus on the transformation.

I just got a new title and they will be increasing my salary in a few months, once the dust settles. SS&C or any layoffs won't have any impact on me because my work is special. I have no plans on looking or leaving, there's a huge amount of work to do!

Truth is, many people are hoping to get paid to leave. Even if the rumors are true and the severances have been reduced, it’s better than walking away with nothing.

A lot of people are too old to get hired anywhere else plus COBOL. I left 5 months ago when I saw the writing on the wall becoming more and more clear. Plus my mgr was a complete idiot who only cared about numbers and I was basically instructed to inflate so she could look cool when presenting her PP to the execs who were equally fascinated by biiiiig numbers. Personally i hope my former mgr is the 1st on the block.
