Anybody else here heard that DST was lowering its severance for future layoffs?
There's a good chance I'm looking at a layoff somewhere down the line (most likely sooner rather than later, I check all the boxes) but I don't want to start fretting ahead of time without some kind of confirmation.
Anybody knows more about this?
we got an email that severance due to merger will be 2 weeks pay for each year at DST up to 52 weeks pay plus 6 months insurance premium paid to us in one lump sum
The reason for severance isn’t out of the kindness of their hearts, it’s to avoid lawsuits. If you sign on the dotted line you cannot come at them legally.
Rumors are flying like crazy. As they always do. I’ve heard it’s capped at 50 weeks (25 years) like it always has been and I’ve also heard 20 weeks (10years). We won’t know until it starts happening.
If you get any severance at all it most likely wil be much less than people got in June/Oct 2017. I assume it may be 8-10 weeks if they decide to go that route, but if Holley and his co-horts want to hoard all they can for themselves, legally they arent even required to give anything.
