The mental state of this IPLE guy had gone from bad to worst hahaha. Someone thinks they are indespensable. While it is a good coping mechanism it is also a sign of serious mental health issue such as getting out of touch of reality. I wonder if you really work at ENB or should I ask how much you are getting paid to troll this site? Poor you, making fun and making money off of people who has real emotions and concerns about layoffs.

I dont think Calgary will get hit by another round of layoffs.

They will get hit by multiple rounds. Every group with the exception of key groups such as IPLE, may be subject to workforce reductions. Unfortunately this is the new world order

Al’s got to go for this company to stand a chance. The board should walk BN to the curb while they’re at it. Truly egregious leadership.

Guys, Al Monaco was the business man of the year last year. Replacing him won't change the outcome. Enbridge needs to get rid of all those lazy folks who do nothing. Enbridge is not competitive and that's why they are down. Reduce costs, reduce debt and the stock will go back up!

There will not be an interim CEO. The BOD is already looking. I give Al until the end of Q2. That's when L3R in US will be squashed.

Agree with the comments on having another major incident. I agree we should be vigilant to prevent it but my Dept. has been cut so deep we can't keep up with the prevention work. Our director knows and we still lost peeps in Jan.

Obviously, the board’s immediate concern is axing Al Monaco and replacing him with an interim CEO. Who would be a good interim leader?

I doubt there will be layoffs. There is only the biannual culling of the herd. If there are layoffs then it would be head office. That IPLE guy (or guy posing as him) is going to be looking for new opportunities. Leadership is poorly equipped to deal with these challenging times.

Anyone know what groups will be targetted? Also should the media be notified this time around?

As long as Al and Byron are among those laid off, the IPLE team will be pleased.

Al should be escorted off the property immediately. So should BN.

Yes to getting rid of Al. No to the catastrophe. Let’s all be vigilante to ensure that doesn’t happen.

Things just have to improve soon!

The sadness at Enbridge is now so pervasive. It would be nice to have some positive news.

It boggles my mind how two great companies can go so wrong so fast.

I have heard for years that both AM and BN are extremely troubled emotionally. The negativity that Enbridge has undergone over the last few years is a manifestation of their deep problems.

Enbridge under Al has been so incredibly sad. I don’t know what makes him tick, but am inclined to think that hubris is at the base of it.

Other companies out there: Do NOT allow this man near your boards of directors!

AM is not great but replacing him won't change the outcome. This boat is sinking regardless.

Ive heard a rumor from multiple sources saying that AM doesnt have much more time before the board of directors gives him the ax. If he cant fix this mess soon they are going to remove him. Gut feeling tells me that if he thinks laying off a ton of people will help him keep his job then nobody will be safe. Just remember, you are only a number on a cost accounting spreadsheet, even if you are in IPLE, haha.
