Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

Are clients PISSED OFF?

That's what I hear. 3 very important clients, including the one that for years was the mainstay on the mutual fund side, are pissed that they recently signed long term deals and now find themselves with SS&C whom they don't want. Talk is that one client was pursued by SS&C and DST for years. They didn't want SS&C, signed with DST recently. Now they think they were pushed to sign just before the SS&C sale which of course they didn't know about, and they are now stuck with the vendor they didn't want. I'd guess Hooley just presented the book of biz to SS&C as a bunch of happy clients on long term contracts. Again, just talk and rumor. This company shares nothing of worth or truth to lower levels and instills fear of punishment to anyone who speaks against them. I don' t know if there's any truth to the above, but it rings true and many, many of these rumors at Dont Stay There have been right on.

No ss&c sales strategy is to cross sell their products. If one company doesn’t have the right products, the can offer some other subsidiaries’ products and so on. They will have the subsidiaries compete for the same pool of clients. Then they can take the majority of the client base.

$14.00 an hour doesn't get much these days. You get what you pay for. Pissed off clients!!!

I'm not sure if the clients are pissed but I will say one thing. This past week I have had more inquiries from the clients asking if the work was processed in the mid-west. I'm speaking about the work that needed adjustments.

I also heard that one, but it's totally unfounded. The person who started the rumor is not in any position to have knowledge of it. IMO, that is disgruntled talk and would not be the case. I'd think the clients would be happy with SS&C and execs covered all topics with them. just my take on the topic.
