Companies like BP should be given the cold shoulder by recent grads...do not trust their words. All they do is print false information to get you to work for them and at the blink of an eye drummed up excuses to get ride of you. Very often - they do not honor their words.
Use them and dispose them like toilet paper if this is your only choice.

I agree. The company values money over morals that is why they can't figure out their name. BP stands for what Big Punk, Bad Press, Big Pig etc.
Companies and people that show up have a name and define themselves. BP can't because it lacks the foundation to show up and be present with morals.
Don’t hesitate to work for BP or any other oil company. But don’t believe they won’t boot you for little to no reason when they have rung your soul of every ounce of work you have in you. Don’t be putting in extra hours and oretending you’re going to retire with any of these companies. Treat them like they will treat you and you won’t give them more than they deserve and won’t be devestated when they kick you to the curb.
BP has been a shady company since the 80’s. I worked for a competitor and it was quite obvious they oozed a lack of integrity at the highest levels, which permeated the rest of the company. When Macondo blew out, I wasn’t the least bit surprised. A shady group of characters to be sure
