So,,,, the hourly job elimination volunteers should have turned in their paperwork last Friday. You should have done this if you are not a member of Greenville's secret buddy network. The reason I'm calling it secret is because it's not an official network but everybody knows who they are. You can be assured that this buddy network will be untouched again. If you didn't agree to eliminate your job and you are not a member of the buddy network, you are about to be involuntarily eliminated.

I’m sure upstate ny is next in a couple weeks for salary then hourly shortly after. Such a shame this company is.
I hope all the hourly employees made the right decision about volunteering to eliminate their job or staying in Greenville. Those that decided to stay will not get the same package offered to the volunteers when forced to leave. The writing is on the wall. Hopefully you are reading the walls.

I retired at GE Greenville in 09 ,If you are looking for the truth you won’t find it in Greenville.The fat boy in HR thinks he is the best liar there is.He is good so never turn your back on him.For new hires it’s a good place to learn and then get out.
The buddies will be washed up soon enough. There aren't enough Indians left to let them all be chiefs now.
Only a few more hours to submit your resignation. Get out of GE! The entire company will continue to fail. The revolving leaders do not care about you or your families well being.

I admit my error in the VRES submission date. Friday or Wednesday doesn’t make a difference with my buddy network point I was trying to make. Being in this group is your only chance of survival. And, because we continue to be in a continuous layoff cycle, it’s too late to join..
@ihq you are exactly right. The only thing I see exposed on here so far is the original poster doesn't know what they're talking about.
@sjm as far as your comment about maintenance, they aren't the only ones who were not touched in the latest swing of the ax, and if you have knowledge of what you claim then perhaps you need to be reporting it to your cell leader or theirs instead of whining about here in the rumor mill. But if it makes you feel better, after reading the letter from JF to the investors I don't think those groups that were untouched this time will remain that way on the next go around.
I’ve worked in may GE plants. This has got to be the most corrupt one I’ve ever seen. All I can say is if you feel your being mistreated, get an attorney. There’s many folks in GVl that have gotten an attorney over being mistreated and have one. They are still in Greenville and are just about untouchable.
Technical leaders and managers of the buddy network have already been discussing who to eliminate in informal/unofficial meetings around the campus. I’m warning the non buddies to be very wary of this group. If they stipped making eye contact with you or have stopped coordinating with you be ready to find a new job.
Or...the vres paperwork is due Feb. 28th @ 11:59pm? If you are going to bother "exposing" the buddy network you should attempt to get your facts straight.
Maintenance is safe because GE needs someone to ride golf carts around all day to their hidden smoking spots.
