Thread regarding Qorvo layoffs

It is remarkably cruel to witness so many employees being told the Gboro fab will either be sold or shutdown and then being told absolutely nothing else over the last month. Many employees that have worked to keep products flowing and the operation going for 10, 15 and 20 years or more are paying the ultimate price for the mistakes made by a clearly clueless and callous upper management. The leaders of Qorvo are demonstrating the fact that they could really care less about the people the company employs. Move an entire process from FL to NC, retool the entire fab, spending over a year and a fortune to do so. Then sell the fab or close it when you loose an Apple socket? oh, that dog just ain't gonna hunt! The one cold consolation that the hard working employees who will all be unemployed soon can take away is this - The group of idiots in charge of this company will have much bigger problems in the future due directly to their own ineptitude. Qorvo will be shuttered entirely in the near to mid term. There are way too many smart firms vying for business in the wireless market. There is no way the company will survive with the upper management executing crackpot business plans and lying to the shareholders about the dire state the company is in and denying the fact that it's nobodies fault but their own. It was fun while it lasted. The Semiconductor industry has always been a circus and unfortunately the clowns are in charge of the local carnival and have run it into the ground. Time to move on.
