We don't want a manager that says the right thing as vaguely as posibble to offend as little as possible. If you are worried about not saying what we want to hear I assure you that what we want to hear is doubling our salary and benefits and cutting our working hours in half which is somwthing you could never promise anyway so why scared of offending. Tell us the truth with facts because management is simply impossible to respect and trust now.

A department called "Special Project" should be created with director only role to put all the people in the old boys club but doesn't have the competency to restart a laptop, that way everyone is happy and we can finally work.

Dell is a factory and expects employees to be automations robots.

That’s not how things work. If you are an employee of Dell Emc storage your only option is to keep your head down and never suggest any product or process improvements. If possible try to kiss a-- managers and directors.
If you speak or tell the truth, irrespective of your skill set or contribution to the company your life will become miserable and eventually you will be forced to leave or get laid off. May be not across all the organization but definitely in Nashua NDC.
Remember you are not working for Microsoft, Apple, Google, Amazon ......
Any complaints to HR, Dell Ethics or even MD is just ignored. Trust me I tried and I got laid off and my manager got Gold award.
