Now that Iron has completed the purchase of SSN, layoffs are beginning across the company. How many? Too soon to tell, but you can bet it will be more than they publicly admit.

Itron marketing still has problems too. Way too siloed, the different marketing groups don't work together, they don't share resources or even know what the others are doing. This is one more significant problem that starts at the corporate level and flows downhill.
I'm an ex R&D engineer out of Raleigh that bailed about 2 months ago. Lucky I got out in time I guess - always better to leave on your terms vs. theirs. Wakanda Forever!
Yeah, Itron continues to make promises to customers so that they win the business. But the reality is that OpenWay Riva is not a real product (and there is question as to if it ever will be).
Oh well, once customers figure out they're being lied to they'll go to L&G, ABB, Aclara, etc. (companies that have real products they can ship).
I got zapped at the Itron location in Oconee, SC. We lost several R&D developers. Behind on the project and now there is less and I am sure they will have to push dates.
Yes it would seem the support organization was decimated Feb 20/21---phones are now ringing in India for many MVRS and IEE users....wonder how Itron customers feel about that? I wonder if they can get their questions actually answered?.....how is it that after Gartner group gives Itron accolades for two years for IEE--they lobotomize the engineering (previously) and now the support?....go figure....must be the stock price and the executives who will be gone shortly.....Would be more understandable if the RIVA products were working....but....if pigs had wings...
