Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

People are hoping to get laid off

Oh please God, let me be on the list to be laid off soon! I can’t take it anymore. DST is a joke of a company. Can anyone name the last product that was actually built by DST and taken to market? How many millions of dollars have been wasted on development of products that end up in the trash? It’s crazy to think that 18 years ago I felt honored to have gotten a job here and was proud to say where I work....now I’m begging to be let go. I sure do wish they would follow Sprints lead and take volunteers. But heck....nobody would be left!

This is so sad and yet so true. This is the sentiment I've been hearing from more and more people as more time goes by. Nobody sees their future at DST, and with good reason. If everybody who feels this way decided to give up and leave on the same day, this company would cease to exist.

Regarding severance packages. They are there to protect the company, not you. Yep, you might get some money but thats in exchange for giving up a whole lot of rights like you won’t be able to sue them ever and you can never say a bad word about them. Of course, they can still say whatever they want about you. So think before you sign.

It would be awesome if they would offer buyouts to employees with 25 plus years. A lot of people would jump on that deal.

Sad but true thats what they are pushing for. I don't think they can make that timeline though.
