If Boeing has a major problem today, it's favoritism. Promotions at the factory are still based on who you are friends with, which translates into a very long wait just to be able to get a step ahead. It doesn’t matter if you are a hard worker or how much time you’ve put in. The good ol’ boy atmosphere won’t let you get ahead. I’ve seen a lot of the younger generation move on due to this issue and who can blame them?
Also, the company is still going through a lot of changes, but there are plenty of those who refuse to see that change is good. Not sure we'll get far while stuck in their old ways.
