Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Has anyone figured out why Cedexis was purchased

it looks like Cedexis should have been purchased by cisco as part of core internet routing infrastructure. Why was this small software maker out of Portland Oregon purchased for something that has no synergy with cloud based apps and desktops services.

There seems to be no value to the end customer with this software acquisition.

Another failed software acquisition coming shortly.

This definitely looks like another Cloudplatform, Xenserver, Octablu, etc, etc, etc to add to the dead pile of failed aborted acquisitions that Citrix has made over the years.

Expect this one to end up in the dustbin like all the others.

Citrix is all about marketing stories. In this blog they say "This acquisition further differentiates the Citrix secure digital perimeter (SDP) approach to security and performance." SDP is a Citrix story. They don't talk about product integration or a combined solution. At this point Cedexis is just another product in the Citrix portfolio. They hint that Cedexis might become a part of Citrix Analytics. Let's see how it fares given the history with Cloud Platform, XenServer, Octoblu and who knows that else.
