Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Consider drug screening Homeshored employees

I firmly believe since ADP is looking to cut cost they should drug test all current homeshored workers. Everyone is trying to fight and keep thier jobs and the company has some homeshored employees who are openly talking about smoking weed and doing drugs while on the phones with customers.

Totally agree with the previous posters. ADP is not going to spend any money on home shored employees because eventually there will be none. This has been the trend for several years now. A few years ago they announced the reduction of the home shored "footprint" as they called it was going to be reduced to only 10%. Over the last few years many home shored employees have been layed off only because they are home shored. The reason give to them was the business model has changed and they want people in offices now. Management knows they can't get rid of all everyone that's home shored all at once so they are doing it gradually. Think about it. They've spent millions of dollars on real estate for all these new offices. Now they have to fill them with workers. Home shoring at ADP is thing of the past.

What's wrong with smoking weed?

The majority of the folks I have worked with at ADP are home shored and I have NEVER heard of any of them doing drugs or drinking during work hours. Bring on the drug test!

Thats right. No drug tests needed when the company is "investing" millions in the new super center locations. No wonder other departments around the company have such tight budgets (or no budget). They want to store up money for severance costs (for the laid off folks around the US) and money for recruiting costs (at the hub centers)!!

There is no need to give drug tests to home shored employees since they are all going to be laid off or fired. In addition to ADP s initiative to get rid of its employees who are "making too much money", this company is getting rid of home shored employees as well. The new model calls for newly hired employees earning about a third of what the discarded employees were, working at the new hub centers (Norfolk, Maitland, Phoenix, etc.) So, no more working from home at ADP.
