In the first “town hall” meeting Doug had with his direct reports and their direct reports he put a graph of the stock price up on the screen and said this was the report card for everyone in the room. He went on to say how everyone made way to much money and did everyone know how much money a neurosurgeon makes, well all of you make more than they do and everyone will be replaced if this does not get turned around.
He also said that if he can’t make the company perform better than this everyone will be out of a job, it looks like that is where it is heading.
The only part that is funny is that apparently Doug and his team of cronies plans to ride it to the bottom and make sure they are there to close the doors so he can get his last payout, exactly what he criticized AKM and the last management team of doing.
