Is that what roelly told you?
"Hot gloves are always expired. To the person talking about new vendor. Did you ever read the hot gloves? They say retest by this date."
Hey @$$hole look at your gloves they only have a date on them. Safety told us last year they are good a year after manufacture date. Quit whining your the reason cable s---ed before altice.
They aren't looking for hot glove dates but if something happens they investigate. If the company was found at fault for providing inadequate equipment guess who's getting screwed. Do you really think they are going to take that risk?
OSHA isn’t rolling up on US looking for hot glove dates !!! Safety has been non existent as of late ... Managers rolling up last week with no safety stuff on themselves.. glad I snapped a picture of them ... hey U never know !!!
Last year guys said their gloves were expired they came back and said it's now a year after the printed on date. I haven't read my gloves to see if you are correct that they say they expire on the date printed. Since this is a safety issue I'd assume it's something osha could fine us on therefore it leads me to believe the company is not handing out expired gloves. and if the gloves are expired don't do any work till you are given the correct safety equipment.
Saw a lot of backfeeding power during sandy ... idiot home owners think they know what there doing , and never open up the main breaker ... sorry u had to see that buddy ... no prob getting gloves in my shop tho.... new cheapy wide a-- cuff ones s---

No it was 20 some odd years ago he checked the broken primary on a down pole dead in the time he went back to his truck got his gear ALL BUT HIS GLOVES a generator kicked on no isolator well if you know anything about power transformers work both ways. I was wet behind the ears but boy did I gain respect for this job in a hurry.
So he was killed taking apart our cable? How come we never heard about this?
As far as hot gloves tell that to to JCP&L guy that died in my arms because he tested it came back and well guess you can figure out the rest. May he rest in peace
Fake news. They changed the supplier last year so the new gloves are stamped the month of the current year and are good till the next. We just had new gloves come in a few weeks ago. When is even the last time you used your gloves? Your safe as long as you use your amp clamp anything before taking it apart.
Expired all over the place
