Nothing surprises me anymore at Kaiser. This used to be an amazing place to work at until about a decade ago. The focus was firmly on teamwork and collaboration.
Today it's the exact opposite. Every man for himself (or woman) is the mentality that started to emerge once we saw the change in medical group leadership nine years ago. Instead of doing things together and working towards a solution when something goes wrong, now everybody is simply looking for a fall guy they can put all the blame on.
Not to mention that now we have to meet these unrealistic expectations that were put on us by people who have zero idea what it takes to do our jobs.
The latest news on wage cuts and layoffs is just a continuation of a pattern that has been developing for nearly a decade now.
