15 months later NXP deal still not cleared. Dangle a massive buyback in lieu of getting across the finish line. Good stuff....

You must have learned math in American school.
The offer is low? Huh? It is significantly higher than the stock price Q was able to reach without the offer.

A little older article but explains the deal. Interesting that it appears Broadcom approached NXP too.
The NXP deal is a tender offer which is quite different from the hostile takeover here. The shareholders need to voluntarily tender or offer up their shares under the terms of the pending deal or offer. As of last week it appears that less than 2% of outstanding shares were tendered. Main reason being that they think their company is worth a lot more that it is. Ironic position for the Q to be in right?
