So glad I did not join the firm when I was made a lucrative offer. Something felt 'off" about the entire experience, especially when working with Sr Recruiters who acted more like Militant Mafia staff vs. colleagues I would want to work with in the future.
I second that! I am also employed by a small company in Boston away from the industrial behemoths in Cambridge. I am paid very well and indeed I would like to confirm that the life outside of the mastodons exist and it is a happy one.
Major AWS layoff coming in few weeks - stay away
So glad I did not join the firm when I was made a lucrative offer. Something felt 'off" about the entire experience, especially when working with Sr Recruiters who acted more like Militant Mafia staff vs. colleagues I would want to work with in the future. I immediately thought how tales I would want to hire would react to this behavior and it was an immediate turn off.
Good luck to all those impacted or who are waiting to hear. There is always life outside the bubble no matter how scary it may seem.
Not really - there is over 3000 open positions for a variety of internal AWS roles
Amazon's stock is overvalued a few times than what one would expect. Many units of Amazon produce zero profit and survive off of others. They need huge restructuring.
I just watched Amazon vaporize several positions that my coworkers were almost through the hiring process for. It came entirely out of nowhere.
