There is a layoff happening at The Irvine Company right now - it's not that big but still - it's a layoffs. You will see more layoffs as the company moves forward and adjusts how the properties are serviced and maintained. They will try to find jobs for all folks affected - in that respect the company is very considerate.
I hope things settle down quick and folks find replacements for the jobs lost.
It is a big layoff when you are a part of it! The depleted an entire department and got rid of half of Marketing. It was horrible. Company is full of fear, deceit and everyone walking on eggshells. They just had enough layoff on Friday, 5/4 and it effected 70 people this time. So don’t say it’s not a box deal. That is insensitive and disrespectful.
